This policy describes the personal data processed by the website www.cld-design.com. It applies the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, SR 235.1), in force since 1 September 2023.

Displaying pages and server logs

The texts, fonts, images, videos, style sheet and script of this site are all served from www.cld-design.com. Displaying a page therefore sends no data to any third party: your browser communicates only with our server, hosted by OVH SAS, a company based in Roubaix, France (full details in the legal notice).

Like any web server, OVH’s server records each request in its logs, including the IP address, the date and time, and the page requested. These logs are used to keep the service secure and for the audience measurement described below.

Audience measurement

Visits to the site are measured from the server logs, analysed in aggregate. This analysis cannot follow a visitor from one visit to the next. No tracking or analytics script is loaded in your browser.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s local storage. That is why no consent banner is shown.

There is one exception, which only you can trigger: if you display the Google map, Google may set its own cookies (see “Google Maps” below).

Contact form

The contact form sends the information you enter:

The subject line of the message shows the page you are writing from. Nothing is sent until you click “Send”.

We use this data only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to start a business relationship. It is not used for marketing, profiling or resale.

It is kept for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry, then for 3 years at most before it is deleted.

Formspree, a US service provider

The form is sent through Formspree Inc., a service provider based in the United States, which forwards your message to CLD Design SA by e-mail. Formspree acts as a processor within the meaning of Art. 9 FADP; its own processing is described in its privacy policy.

Your data is therefore transferred to the United States. According to its security page, Formspree hosts its service with Amazon Web Services in the United States and, as a processor, relies on Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you would rather not go through Formspree, write to us directly at info@cld-design.com (your message then reaches the mailbox described below) or call +41 22 794 37 64.

Email

Messages received through the form or sent to info@cld-design.com are stored in CLD Design SA’s Microsoft 365 mailbox. Microsoft acts as a processor within the meaning of Art. 9 FADP.

Google Maps

The Contact section of the home pages, in French and in English, offers a map provided by Google Maps. It does not load on its own: until you click “Show the map”, no request is sent to Google and no third-party cookie is set.

Once you click, your browser loads the map from Google’s servers. Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, as set out in its privacy policy. The “View on OpenStreetMap” link next to it shows where the workshop is without displaying the Google map.

Links to other websites

This site contains links to other websites, for example the laws and standards cited as sources, the registers that publish CLD Design SA’s company data, LinkedIn, OpenStreetMap or the CLD Watches site. These links load nothing until you click them. Once you are on the other site, its own rules apply: this policy covers www.cld-design.com only.

Your rights

Under the FADP you may in particular:

To exercise these rights, write to info@cld-design.com. We answer every request within 30 days; for a request for access, this is the time limit set by Art. 18 of the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO, SR 235.11).

Supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your data breaks the law, you can report it to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), who may open an investigation (Art. 49 FADP): www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Changes

CLD Design SA may change this policy, in particular if the way the site works changes. The date of entry into force shown at the top of this page is the one that applies.
